I am passionate about quilting & sewing and the outlet it provides. I believe in quilting not just being a hobby or craft, but also as a true form of art and therapeutic practice. Quilting has always been more than stitching fabric together; it’s a way to express yourself, push artistic and technical boundaries, and enjoy the mental health benefits of mindfulness and creativity on top of being practical. My work and designs are bold, modern and infused with vibrant colors and striking contrast, not in anyway “just a boring blanket”. Now as an award-winning quilt artist and pattern designer, I have the joy of sharing my knowledge and passion with others.
Drawing on my architectural background to elevate technical quilting methods, I’ve evolved my own style and focus on a few specialisms. Whether it’s Foundation Paper Piecing, Free Motion Quilting, or Complex curved piecing, I love transforming daunting techniques into achievable skills through a fun and encouraging teaching style.
I tailor my teaching to suit participants learning styles, ensuring every student feels supported and empowered as they explore new techniques. Workshops with me are filled with “aha!” moments as I break down challenging concepts into simple, manageable steps. My goal is for every student to leave confident, energized, and ready to express their unique artistic voice.

A minimum booking is a 30mins presentation and 15min Q & A, but why not combine a talk with a workshop and get more stitches per inch.

Having taught at multiple retreats, they are a so much fun, getting to know attendees, sharing more knowledge, loads of fun and jokes along the way.

Overseas or short of time I’m happy to work with you online. Multiple camara angles and loads of time for questions is how I work best.

I offer personalized 1-2-1 teaching sessions tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re looking to master Foundation Paper Piecing design, dive into technical pattern drafting, or explore the art of Free Motion Quilting.
These can take place at my home or online and provide the perfect opportunity to develop your skills at your own pace, with expert guidance and techniques tailored to your learning style.

Tick It Off: Create your own FPP Notebook Cover
Tick off getting your head round the Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) technique or just have fun making something to take away. Sewing directly on a printed paper pattern, allows you to create complex and accurate work. Make this Tick Block with me and I will cover the core method, divulge tips to ensure fabric placement is perfect and then whip it up into a super cute notebook cover.
A Sweet Introduction to FPP
Refresh yourself or learn the basics of FPP by making a super cute 6”x 8” Gummy Bear Block. I will explain and demonstrate the method, teach techniques to ensure you always position the fabric perfectly and join sections exactly so they align for a seamless look.
Make you FPP Shine
You can do simple FPP but you want to improve and learn how to: position fabric perfectly (no unpicking), minimise waste, join sections so seams look continuous, and fussy cut fabric/pattern match so multiple sections appear as one. Walk away with a finished 16” square “Rainbow Twinkle” block.
Mindful Mandala: Gain Confidence in FMQ
Grow your confidence when Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) in this relaxing class. You will cover the basics of FMQ including tension, thread and technique. Talked through several design options, practice on paper and use a machine to master repetitive designs and create a stunning hanging piece to remind you what you can achieve.

Curve Appeal: Compound and Reverse Curves
Do you enjoy sewing curves but want a break from drunkard’s path and to grow your skills? Sweep into this class and learn to piece compound and reverse curves using a pre-printed paper pattern. All the tips and tricks to allow you to get them smooth and accurate will be included. You can then relish your learning by sewing the sample into wall hanging or cement your skills by learning to draft your own curvy paper templates.
